This nonprofit, non-denominational humanitarian organization provides crucial healthcare initiatives in restricted access countries: medical camps, medical equipment, disaster relief and consultations. As a nonprofit organization committed to serving the indigent and oppressed children and their families, Children's Medical Ministries has outreaches in Washington DC and Baltimore area, seven other states in the US, and 30 countries overseas. CHOSEN'S name is an acronym for Christian Hospitals Overseas Secure Equipment Needs. It was established in 1969 after CHOSEN'S founder Richard Love returned from a Korean hospital where he became keenly aware of the medical missionaries' desperate circumstances. Since 1969, CHOSEN has restored, tested, and shipped over forty million dollars of medical equipment to over eighty-five nations.
