Smile Train Partnership
CURE International has launched an initiative to deliver treatment of clefts to children and training to national surgeons. In partnership with Smile Train, CURE will perform 900 cleft lip and palate surgeries over the next year. This exciting new partnership leverages CURE's pediatric surgical expertise and provides the opportunity to serve even more children affected by a physical disability.
CURE will establish first world quality Cleft Research & Surgical Training Centers at its hospitals in Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Uganda, Afghanistan and Ethiopia. These centers will focus on treating patients, training national surgeons in cleft surgery techniques and conducting research on cleft disabilities.
