Because of his severe clubfoot, many of the people in Juma's village considered him to be "cursed." Some of the villagers even encouraged Juma's parents to "throw him away like garbage."
Fortunately, Juma's parents believed that he could be cured and set out to find the treatment that would change their son's life forever.
Their journey led them to the AIC-CURE International Children's Hospital in Kijabe, Kenya. Here, Juma received the corrective surgery that will allow him to walk, run and play like other children for the very first time!
One day, Juma dreams of becoming a lawyer so he can help bring harmony and peace to the warring groups in his region of Kenya. Now that he can walk to school, maybe one day this little boy, armed with faith in Christ, will help improve the lives of so many others.
